It's been a while since I posted last, and trust me it's not due to having nothing to write about. I often felt like I wanted to post, I just lacked the motivation to complete the task, or became to busy to get started.
My post is going to be short, but here it is!
I feel like I have been completely affected by the
changing season. Summer was so warm, easy to do a lot of activity and
the days lasted so much longer. These last few weeks have been really
gloomy, with a lot of rain, and some days it's hard to find those
moments of warmth.
It's been so cold lately, and with my moods not in such a positive
place, I decided during my walks with Buddy, I would take a photo of
something I find uplifting. I have found this to be really rewarding,
because no matter what mood I am in, I would take a moment and reflect.
These are some of the photos I have taken during my walk, that remind
me it maybe raining out but there is always something beautiful to be
found.
I know not every day is going to be the best, but there is always something to remind ourselves to respect what we have, and to reward ourselves with reaching our goals. I may have taken a break, but I am back on track!
Cheers!
Hey, I'm Katy. This is my first blog, and it has no theme. It's just a reflection of my thoughts, pictures and how I view the world.

Karma
I recently purchased a Electra Cruiser Bike, from Used Victoria. It's a Karma 3i purple bike and I have fallen in love with riding it. It has been really nice out lately, perfect riding weather! I didn't realize how nervous I would be, riding a bike again. In fact, I was a little concerned I had forgotten all together how to ride a bike. The first time Marc and I went out around the neighborhood, and I almost got ran over by another bike rider. I apologized, and yelled out I was "New".
I have lost a bit of weight due to my new found love of riding, which is always a plus. I can't wait for the summer when it will always be hot out and I can ride everywhere. The next exercise activity I am going to do, is join a gym! I know it is a big commitment, but I promised myself that if I incorporated physical activity in my life for an entire year I would take the next step and join a gym.
I have been looking at two gyms in the area. The closest is the YMCA and the other is Oak Bay Rec Center, both of them offer a lot of extra programs. I am leaning more towards the YMCA, because it is closer and I think I would ultimately use it more often. Yoga and Meditation is something I want to incorporate in my life, I think it is very important to stay grounded.
I have felt really motivated lately, for a positive change in my life. Which really feels good. You know what they say, "What goes around, comes around". So it's always good to have Karma on your side!
Cheers!

A Winter Wonderland
When we were children, snow days were the best! A Winter Wonderland, with snow falling from the sky and every school closed.
Recently I sold my car, and got a Vespa LX50. I figured it was the best move living in Victoria, since I rarely drive anywhere. She is super cute, and I can't wait to drive her around. However, with this Winter Wonderland it doesn't look like it will be soon!
At least she looks super cute in the snow! Soon enough, we will be driving all over the place. xoxo
Since the snow doesn't look like it's going anywhere, I decided to have a little fun and make snow angels. If you can't beat them, join them! Which is exactly what I did, and I have to say I had a lot of fun doing it.
Life is what you make of it, and even though I can't drive my sweet Vespa I can still have fun! It's all about keeping a positive perspective, and not taking what you have for granted.
Cheers!

All you need is love.
This is Baby Buddy, he is a Yorkie Cross and is 6 years old. He has changed my life for the better and makes me incredibly happy!
This is Ms. Suzi Meow, she is the sweetest kitten you will ever meet! She is full of affection and love, and will show you any chance you give her. She also makes me incredibly happy.
The reason I decided to post about my two loving animals, is because they have fully changed my life. Everyday, I do the things I need to do to take care of them, and in return they show me true unconditional love. I read this blog earlier, and it was very inspiring. It wrote about how we all need to start enjoying the things we have in life, and since these two animals make me so happy I thought what a perfect start!
I realized I need to take more moments like this, and give thanks for all that I have. So, I decided I'm going to start my day by taking a quiet moment every morning to reflect on what truly makes me happy, plan how my day will go, and to start the day in a positive direction. It's going to be interesting to see how life changes, when positivity is introduced first thing in the morning. Mostly, because I'm not a morning person at all. hahaha
Cheers!

The path I Chose
I titled this photo "The path I chose" and looking back on it, it is what kick started my motivation to really self-reflect. I have been making a lot of positive changes in my life, which is what motivated myself to start blogging. As a child I wrote my thoughts down in a journal, and I remember how rewarding it was. So I wanted to take this opportunity to share my thoughts and views with others.
So here it is, this is what I have decided to take up as a hobby of mine. In time we will see where my imagination takes me, and how many more positive changes I make in my life.
Cheers!
